The Zeiss Axio Observer Z1 is a powerful, fully motorized inverted fluorescence microscope designed for demanding cell biology and live-cell imaging applications. The system features a motorized filter turret, motorized objective turret, motorized X-Y stage, and motorized Z-drive for reproducible and automatable image acquisition. The integrated ApoTome module enables high-resolution optical sectioning using structured illumination. The Colibri LED fluorescence illumination with 365 nm (UV) and 455 nm (blue) modules provides fast, gentle, and long-lasting fluorescence excitation. The microscope additionally offers DIC II/III and phase contrast PH1/PH2/PH3 for versatile transmitted-light contrast methods.
